Qualities: When people hear of a dog named Harley, often what comes to mind is a male dog who’s person loves motorcycles. That is not the case with our Harley, though. She is named for the cartoon character Harley Quinn. She wants you to know that she doesn't love the Joker or want a life of crime, however! Harley had a rough life prior to coming to Pepper’s. Her person struggled and was often unhoused and was in and out of jail often but boy was she loved despite her human’s challenges. She is absurdly sweet and resilient. She is well socialized and delightful. Children and other dogs are safe with Harley!

Occupation: Our Harley seeks to be a different kind of character and hopes someone will create comic books or graphic novels about Harley: The Pittie Who Changed the World’s Perceptions of the Breed! Her gentle nature and calm temperament makes her the perfect dog for this series to be modeled after. 

Likes/Dislikes: Harley loves life! She loves everything about her new life at Pepper’s. While she was hugely loved before, she is now hugely loved in a stable environment and she appreciates the consistency she now has for food, shelter, general care and medical treatments. She is at least 10 but is very hopeful that someone will help her publish her dream book so dogs labeled as “pitbulls” stop being labeled as bad. She wouldn’t hurt a hair on a fly and neither would most pit bulls. Please come meet this love and see for yourself. The goodness just oozes out of her.
